Asa Montgomery is a 6’7”, 200-pound forward at Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, and one of the more complete forwards in the 2027 recruiting class. He is ranked in the national top 60. He plays inside like an old-fashioned power forward and steps out to shoot like a modern one.

Asa Montgomery’s Statistical Profile

As a sophomore he averaged 16.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.7 blocks a game and made First Team All-Region. He gets his jump shot off over defenders, he rebounds his position and then some, and he finishes above the rim on the break with good body control.

The College Recruiting Landscape

His recruitment started with an offer from Kennesaw State and has moved up quickly, with SEC programs now leading the way.
